Meet Karla

Hi, I’m Karla. I teach mindfulness, yoga, and special education in the SF Bay Area. My journey with yoga and mindfulness began in high school, and though it was years before I established a consistent practice, the stillness that I experienced during my first savanna had a lasting impact.  Initially I was drawn to the physical aspects of yoga, but over time, it was the sense of connection that I began to remember within myself that led me to my first teacher training in 2017. Since then, I haven’t stopped learning.

In addition, I hold a credential and Master’s degree in Special Education focusing on teaching students with physical and health impairments.

As a teacher, I aim to create a warm, inclusive space where students can practice turning in towards and honoring their bodies while cultivating strength and presence.

I began to teach yoga and mindfulness so that others could experience the grace of the practices that have imbued my life with more presence, acceptance, and freedom. I truly believe that yoga and mindfulness practices are for everybody and I’d love to work together to find exactly what you need in this moment.
